The new FIAT Punto Evo is all set to launch on August 5th in India and while it is great to finally get this all-important date, there was one major piece of information that drivers wanted to know, but has yet to be confirmed, and that is its price. This shouldn’t surprise us because FIAT will want to hold on to this small, but important detail right until its launch.
FIAT has made some significant changes to this model, which started life as the hatchback and its exterior is no secret to us now seeing as though some dealerships in India have started to take possession of the new Punto Evo.
There are to be two petrol variants and just the one diesel option, although there will be different trim levels for these engines choices. First of all there is the 1.2-liter petrol engine with its 67 horsepower and the 1.4 version pumping out 89 horsepower. As for the diesel, this makes use of the 1.3-litre MultiJet engine, which has a power output of 75bhp.
It is clear that the new FIAT Punto Evo is not going to scare drivers with that sort of power, but we know most Indian drivers do not crave for cars with huge amounts of power, as they much prefer a more practical car.
Latest Punto Evo changes — Up front we have a new grille design and front bumper, which houses some sleek wraparound headlights, and as for its interior there is nothing we have not seen before, as it is pretty similar to the Linea interior.
What sort of price would you expect to pay for the new Punto Evo?
