Fiat 500L price and mpg figures for US market

If you love the Fiat 500, but feel as though it’s just too small, then Chrysler has come up with something to satisfy your needs, and that is the Fiat 500L. The larger model is to go on sale in June, and offers buyers more choice, although this is just the second model type, apart from all the limited edition models based on the standard version.

The Fiat 500L price for the US market is $19,900, although there is to be another model called the 500L Trekking, which is more for those who like a more-rugged vehicle, the price for this model will start at 21,995

Chrysler understands that the Fiat 500L was needed, as it helps to fill a gap in their market, and as you would imagine has more space than the 500 model, such as being 26 inches longer, 6 inches taller and wider and coming with four doors.

The Fiat 500L mpg figures are decent, but not as much as you would hope, as it manages 31 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway. The 500L has a 0-60 mph time of 7.2 seconds, which we have to say is rather impressive for a standard family car for 5 passengers. Having said that, should we really be that surprised considering the 1.4-liter engine comes with a turbo charger, which is able to produce 160 horsepower?

Fiat has spared no expense when it comes to the 500L interior, as it comes with a 5-inch touchscreen, UConnect multimedia system, and the ability to manage media content wirelessly.

It’s thought that the 500L will compete with similar sized vehicles, such as the Ford Fiesta, the Chevy Sonic and also the Honda Fit, all of which are very popular cars.
