Many players were very surprised to see Square-Enix release Final Fantasy XV patch 1.03 a day before the Holiday Pack DLC is supposed to come out on December 22.
We can confirm that this new patch does not unlock the Holiday Pack yet, but we’re assuming it will put some ground work into the game behind the scenes to enable the new content to work smoothly and quickly the minute it goes live.
With this in mind, we look ahead to what time the Holiday Pack and the Holiday Pack Plus DLC is out for FFXV in the US and UK.
Unfortunately, Square-Enix has not given gamers a heads-up on the exact time that the content releases. We are wondering if they will favor those in Japan meaning that if they release the patch in the morning Japan time, it will mean that the Holiday Pack will be out in the middle of the night UK time and evening time for US players.
Obviously we can’t say for sure yet, but we’ll be updating this with more information on the time of release as we get it. The 1.03 patch was a massive 3GB download, so we have a feeling that the Holiday Pack may contain a lot more than what Square-Enix has initially announced.
For a recap, here is what every player will get for free:
Warrior’s Fanfare: A scroll of sheet music containing a song of jubilation that provides additional AP for earning an A+ in Offense outside of training.
Nixperience Band: A device that stops experience points from being tallied, preventing the party from leveling up for an added challenge.
Carnival Passport: An adorably adorned ticket that whisks the bearer away to a fun-filled carnival for a limited time.
Choco-Mog Tee (available late January 2017): An exclusive T-shirt featuring everyone’s favorite fluffy and feathery friends. Colorful, comfy and appropriate for any carnival-goer.”
Are you patiently waiting to refresh the store to find the Holiday Pack download for FFXV? Let us know if you manage to get it early in a certain region to give everyone a heads-up.
Fun question: Will the Carnival ticket be a Gold Saucer-like experience from FF7?
