Ferrari F12 Berlinetta prize for Top Gear presenter

Last week on Top Gear USA we got to see the Jeep Brute doing what it does best because it was perfectly suited for the task they had planned, and now this week sees something completely different. This week sees the guys choose a car from the 80s and then put them through a series of challenges.

If you thought that sounded cool, then wait until you find out what the prize is. The one who wins the set of challenges will be rewarded with a very special prize, and that is a drive in the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, which as you may know is currently the quickest Ferrari on our roads.

The engine produces 730 horsepower and can go 0-62 mph in 3.1 seconds and standstill to 120 mph in 8.5 seconds. Even though these figures sound great, and the overall look of the car is pure sexiness, there is a version of the F12 that has even more to give.

Details of the Ferrari F12 TRS have finally leaked out and it is clear to see that this is based on the Berlinetta, but has been changed in various ways in order to make this a $4.2 million supercar.

What makes the Ferrari F12 TRS so special — You will notice from the image above (more images here) that there is no longer a roof, and it is said to also make use of KERS, which is Kinetic Energy Recovery System, which was used in F1.

It’s not yet known if this is a one-off for a client, or if there will be a limited run from the Special Projects Program, one thing is clear though, we can’t wait to see the Ferrari F12 TRS driven in anger.
