Ferrari 458 Speciale angers the Hamann Nervudo Aventador

As with all motor shows we always see vehicles that we were expecting, and a few show up that we had know idea of and the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show was no different. These two vehicles are a fine example of that because while we knew the Ferrari 458 Speciale would be unveiled in all its glory, we did not know about a modified Lamborghini Aventador, which is being called the Hamann Nervudo.

We have been looking forward to the Ferrari 458 Speciale specs for a while now, so finally nice to see the Prancing Horse on hand to take us through those vital statistics. What we have hear is a vehicle with a 4.5-liter V8 engine producing 596 horsepower, enough to propel the car from standstill to 62 miles per hour in just under three seconds.

Looking at that figure it is around the same time as the Porsche 918 Spyder, McLaren P1 and the Ferrari LaFerrari, although those rely on some eclectic power as well. One of the reasons why the Ferrari 458 Speciale performance is so great is because it weighs just 2,844 pounds, although those Michelin tires play a major part as well.

One would always assume Lamborghini would come out fighting, but this has been left to Hamann Motorsport, as they have worked their magic to modify the Lamborghini Aventador and has come up with the very angry Nervudo.

Some of the other changes to make the Aventador into the Nervudo are several aerodynamic modifications, such as the diffuser, rear wing, front spoiler, and what can only be described as flared nostrils.

While most of us would agree the Ferrari 458 Speciale looks beautiful, there will no doubt be disagreements with the Nervudo, so where do you stand?
