Fast Food Calories: Restaurants to update menus

When you purchase food from supermarkets you can read all the nutritional value — such as calorie counts, this will now be something that national chain restaurants will have to do very soon under a new law. Most people are unaware how many calories three are in fast food — so they have welcomed the change.

Fox 6 Now reports that any restaurant chains with more than 20 stores will have to abide by this new health reform law. When you go to order your food soon from Burger King or any other fast food establishment, the menu will be even harder to read — not only will you have the menu, but the entire calorie counts as well.

Dietitian Nicole Fasules welcomes the idea saying, “If you can actually see the calories, it’ll just increase our awareness of what you’re eating.” In some respects she is correct, if I knew how many calories there were in a whooper — then chances are, I would not buy it.

However, there are those out there who just do not care — you try telling a child they cannot have the burger, have a salad instead. Good Luck on that one.
