Farmville developer ‘Zynga’ Launch New ‘FrontierVille’ Game (Video Trailer)

Zynga, the games company that are behind popular social networking games such as Mafia Wars and Farmville have expanded their entourage by launching a new game called FrontierVille.

The game is available to play now on Facebook, where players head west in their covered wagon, and build log cabins where you can clear land, raise crops, hunt and build a virtual outpost. Neighbors can also join in and move right next to your chosen settlement.

Zynga says that they took the idea of creating an imaginary family, as it “appealed to many of our players.” and mixed that with a western theme. According to the games company, they say that many women they spoke to remember such programs as ‘Little House on the Prairie,’ where as men referred to many western adventure movies. This is why they decided to fuse the two together to make FrontierVille.
