Yesterday people were less than happy with the shortage of Fallout: New Vegas reviews, now the Xbox 360 version has arrived on metacritic and at the time of this article 8 critic had reviewed the game.
It has to be said that the early signs are not as promising as they were for Fallout 3, at the time of this post Fallout: New Vegas had a metascore of 85 based on 8 reviews, whereas Fallout 3 has a metascore of 93 based on 84 reviews.
Obviously New Vegas’ metascore will change as more reviews come in, and let’s face these types of games need a couple of days worth of gameplay before you can really see how good it really is, let’s just hope its metascore drops no lower than 83.
Reviews are mixed to be honest, JoyStiq suggest that not much has changed when compared to Fallout 3, therefore it already feels aged, that said why change a winning formula.
Giant Bomb suggest that the game is riddled with technical issues, we spoke about this earlier here, apparently load times were poor and it crashed pretty frequently.
Eurogamer, the Official Xbox Magazine UK, AtomicGamer and GamePro all scored the game 90 out of 100, all of these critics were impressed with just how vast the game was. Also the reviewers seem happy with the new perk system and great gameplay.
