There is a renewed sense of optimism among Fallout 4 players on PS4 now, following on from the events of Sony’s PlayStation Meeting where the PS4 Pro was unveiled and the availability of PS4 firmware update 4.0 next week.
We know PS4 update 4.0 is coming next week as Sony announced that a HDR update was coming at the same time meaning that both will come together.
As a result, there is a strong belief that the delay of mods on Fallout 4 has been solely down to Sony rather than Bethesda and that they have needed the 4.0 update to get mods running smoothly.
The arrival of PS4 4.0 may give the console the performance boost that Fallout 4 mods on PS4 needs to run smoothly, but if that is really the case then Sony and Bethesda are not going to tell you that.
There has been silence for a reason, but hopefully we’ll know soon enough when PS4 4.0 starts to rollout. Are you also under the impression that a firmware update is needed to run mods without issue?
You can read about HDR here in our previous article if you are interested, but let us know if you think that we are now closing in on mods finally arriving.
