Fallout 4 PS4 mods release date with problems

We know many of you are waiting for Fallout 4 mods on PS4 to come out, so we just wanted to bring you an update on the status of release since Bethesda have spoken about the upcoming Fallout 4 PS4 mod beta.

In a recent developer update, Bethesda has said that there are already some problems with getting mods on Fallout 4 for PS4, the biggest of which is a 900MB size limit compared to 2GB which is available on Xbox One.

Bethesda has said that they are working with Sony to increase this, but we also hear about sound issues as currently sound files are not working due to PS4 sound being a ‘proprietary format’.

It looks like before the public Fallout 4 PS4 mods release date, Bethesda has a lot of ironing out to do with Sony before you get to play.

Check out Bethesda’s statement here and let us know if you are worried about a further delay due to these issues which we didn’t see happen on Xbox One.

Reason for possible PS4 mods delay:

Would you be unhappy if Bethesda cannot increase the file size limit higher than 900MB? Stay tuned as we’ll share the news when we have a launch date for you.

So many people salty at Bethesda here. Sony is the one not allowing you to enjoy mods. Xbox got mods first because it’s already running windows. To top that off, if any of you were this desperate for mods instead of being pissed because another platform has something yours doesn’t have, you’d have gaming PCs.

People in the comment section complaining about Bethesda doing a poor job, when in fact it is Sony’s fault for always trying to have “proprietary” things.

I understand why they went to Xbox first with the mod release it is because Xbox is a Microsoft product so its easier to transition to a PC to an Xbox being they aren’t that much different but I do agree with Chris you all should have waited to release mods when you had PS4 problems figured out and done.

I have a feeling they took priority with microsoft and sony came second. They never mentioned this about sony issues until mid june, and released xbox mods at the end of may. This seems to be a recurring issue between Bethesda and Sony: been the same with Skyrim and Fallout 3.

I honestly don’t think they should have released It for the xbox if the PS4 wasn’t ready. They should have done it at the same time. It’s just pissing off the players who are very ready for this on PS4!.
