Fallout 4 exclusive doubts after PS4 listing

Some of you may be disappointed that Fallout 4 looks set to be absent from E3 2013, but we do have some encouraging rumors to bring you, regarding recent fears that the game could be exclusive to one platform. Bethesda hasn’t listed Fallout 4 as one of the games to be shown at E3, but whispers have continued to suggest that Fallout 4 would make a surprise appearance as an Xbox One exclusive.

While this would obviously be amazing for owners of the forthcoming Xbox One console, it would be a bitter pill to swallow for those opting for the PS4 instead, especially with previous games in the franchise releasing on all platforms before as well as PC.

We still don’t know for sure if Fallout 4 will be at E3 with Bethesda remaining silent on the matter, but one retailer over in Sweden has provided some hope for PlayStation fans, by listing a PS4 version of Fallout 4, which will apparently be released sometime in 2014.

We all know that Fallout 4 is coming at some point next year, but Bethesda clearly has a lot of other games to focus on promoting at the moment, such as The Elder Scrolls Online, Wolfenstein: The New Order and The Evil Within from Tango Gameworks. It’s interesting to point out that the PS4 listing for Fallout 4 on the retailer in question Webhallen has since been removed, but listings for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Fallout 4 remain.

Bethesda surely wouldn’t be that cruel in making Fallout 4 an Xbox One exclusive would they? They would come under fire for sure if they did, but then again you only have to look at the likes of Bayonetta 2 on the Wii U and more recently, Titanfall from Respawn Entertainment on the Xbox One, as evidence that anything is possible in this current exclusivity-orientated industry.

What are your thoughts on the rumors that Fallout 4 would become an Xbox One exclusivevery hard to imagine right? Let’s hope Bethesda has a few surprises in store at E3 2013 next week.

1) The Xbox ONE is the least powerful platform of the 3
2) Console iterations of Fallout games have been more buggy than the PC versions

3) Xbox ONE support looks very weak – the Gamespot survey shows that there is a 72%-28% split in favour of the PS4 – so Xbox ONE sales would be much lower for Bethesda
4) PC = mods. The holy grail of Bethesda games is modding

Bethesda would be silly to give an exclusivity licence to the Xbox ONE for so many reasons.

Then Bethesda will only make a few thousand sales, because right now, hardly no one will be getting an Xbone. Probably the worst console in years.

Please don’t make it an Xbox One exclusive. I do not want to have to get that shitty console to play this.

Fans are getting cranky and restless. I hope Bethesda at least does SOMETHING for Fallout 4 at E3.. But I know they are being secretive because they want a big announcement, and I really appreciate that. But cmon… we need some news :(. And no, I highly doubt Fallout will ever be Xbox exclusive.

I don’t believe any of these rumors at all. Fallout 4 will not be Xbox exclusive, one reason being is that they’re not just going to spit at the modding community like that and two they wont risk cutting their sales. Todd Howard even said that the PC version was superior to the console versions.

I’m getting really tired of bethesda´s ridiculously secretive crap. How hard can it be to tell people what to expect and when to expect it? I would think they’d learn something from what happened with the skyrim dlc and stop with the stupid secrets.

Bethesda wouldn’t do that for the Fallout series, when they bought the name it was a PC only title. Bethesda has stated they would never change it to console exclusive. The only thing I can see being and Xbox One Exclusive is getting the DLC earlier, like they did with Skyrim.
