Facebook’s growth over the last few years has been massive, recent figures from HitWise suggests that the popular social networking website is a lot more popular in the United States than many would have ever thought.

Apparently Facebook.com accounts for 24.7% of page views in the US, which is far higher than the 7% of US page views which Google.com currently receives.
Statistics from a year ago show that Facebook.com saw 16.7% of US page views, which means that it has gained an addition 8% of the market in a year, it will be interesting to see if Facebook can improve on this by this time next year.
