Facebook Special Event Expectations: iPad App or Phone?

2010 has been a great year for Facebook, but the last couple of months have been the most hectic. The social networking goliath not only launched its new Places feature in August but also revamped certain features of its site — so what can we expect from the special event that was announced a few hours ago?

The Facebook event is to be held at 10 AM PDT, 6PM GMT, which seems to be all the details that we have. However, Jason Kincaid from TechCrunch has a few ideas of his own.

It is no secret that the iPad is in need of a Facebook app, there are a few third-party options, but those with the tablet device will give them all up for the official Facebook app.

Last month there was all this talk of a Facebook phone, which was later denied, then they kind of went back on the denial of its existence. Well the Facebook Phone could make an appearance at the event — we can only hope.

These are just to expectations from the Facebook special event, what else do you think Mark Zuckerberg and his team will announce during the keynote?
