Update: Facebook Your Year In Review is finally live and showing up on people’s feeds. You either have the option to share your video with friends, or edit. When choosing the latter option you can replace the images that Facebook has pre-selected with ones you would rather show on the video.
It’s at this time of the year when people will start to ask, “How to do the year in review 2016 on Facebook”, although we would just like to say that please be careful. We say this because while there is the correct way to go through this procedure, there are other options, but these are often scams – so only ever go direct through Facebook.
Before you get too excited, it is worth mentioning that while there is a handy how to guide on creating and sharing your Facebook for the Year in Review video, the actual link on the facebook.com/yearinreview page currently says, “Sorry! We aren’t quite ready for you. Come back soon“.
However, it’s worth keeping an eye on this page to see when the feature actually goes live. Although, having said that, Facebook will automatically create the video for you, and allow you to share direct from your wall.
PLEASE BE CAREFUL OF ROGUE FACEBOOK APPS, as all these scammers want is to grab your Year in review video. Like we said above, only ever do this directly from Facebook and never through a third-party service. You will notice by the URL in the link we provided above is to the official Facebook page. However, if you are still concerned, then just wait like we said above for the feature to appear on your wall.
