Facebook QR Barcode: New Feature in Profiles

Many users on Facebook have noticed two new features popping up “View QR Barcode” and second “Generate status QR Barcode”. Social networking members are uncertain what these are for — these links have been placed underneath each user’s profile picture.

Users have been speculating what the QR Barcode could be — some saying that it could change how we use Facebook. This could have something to do with smartphones — as these mobile devices have changed so much since the start of Facebook.

Facebook have yet to make an announcement about these QR codes, so we will have to just keep guessing for now. Suite101.com has now reported that the QR Barcode option has now been removed by Facebook — this is something that the social networking site does a lot off. No doubt we will learn more over the next few days.
