We have discussed a number of times about Facebook Places, the new location-based service from the social networking giant. Now that Facebook has its own service like this, we wonder how long it will be before Foursquare becomes affected?
So earlier Jamie Pert wrote an article offering details and a step-by-step guide on how to disable Places, and Gary Johnson looked at the business advantages of the service as well. So I thought I would offer details on how to use places.
Thankfully, Jolie O’Dell from Mashable has spent time with Facebook Places and now knows just how the new features works, so was the best one to give us this field guide.
Before you get started just remember that you can use Places on the iPhone with an app, if you do not have an iPhone, then you can just visit the Facebook mobile website. For full details, read the step-by-step guide by visiting Mashable.
Will you use Facebook Places in favor of Foursquare?
