For those of you who are into their horror games, then you will be pleased to hear that the release date for F.E.A.R. 3 for the Xbox 360, Sony PS3 and PC will be in the fall. Monolith Productions will not be involved in this third installment as they were with the first two — instead Day 1 Studios will get that job.
F.E.A.R 3 is the third installment of the first-person shooter series and will continue with the same storyline. However, Tor Thorsen, from GameSpot informs us that there will now be a new divergent co-op” mode — allowing players to assume control of one of the two characters in the game.
You have the choice of Point Man or his brother Paxton Fettel; the former is a genetically engineered supersoldier while the latter has telekinetic powers. These two characters will offer different storylines, so once you complete with one — you can then play the game again with the other.
To truly make F.E.A.R 3 a believable horror game, Warner Bros. has hired movie director John Carpenter — his credits include Halloween and An American Werewolf in London.
