Expected Barisieur alarm clock price and originality

Most of us remember the old teasmaid that used to sit beside the bed and have a cup of tea ready and waiting for you the moment you woke up, and from what we can tell no one has really come up with a dedicated version that makes coffee, and looks like a work of art that is until now.

The Barisieur alarm clock is a drinks machine with a difference because it looks far different to a teasmaid, as its design has been thrown completely on its head. Ok, so we know that there will be a few of you questioning its originality because there are already several brands of coffee makers that can be set by a timer to have you a cup of Joe ready for when you get up in the morning.

We do not dispute that, but what we will say is, we bet they do not look anything like the Barisieur, which you can see below, or on the Josh Renouf Design website.

This Joshua Renouf designed alarm clock is striking in its design and how he believes a coffee maker/alarm clock should look like. We understand that people will question the safety of having a machine that makes hot drinks by the side of you bed, especially with children around, but then you do not have to buy it do you.

The machine uses induction heating to get the water hot and to percolate the ground coffee. There is even a chilled section for the milk or cream, and a drawer with two compartments, one for the ground coffee and the other for the sugar.

We ask that you head over to the designer’s website to get more details, along with some well-taken photos to get a better understanding of the Barisieur. However, we do have one concern and that is the expected Barisieur alarm clock price, as it is said to be around $250-$420 – let’s hope it is near the lower end of the scale.
