Europe get first dibs LG Optimus Black this month

If you were hoping to get your hands on the slimmest Android device in the market at the moment, the Optimus Black, which LG had promised would be landing this side of 2011 then you may have to wait a little longer.

That is unless you live in Europe as it seems they will be the first and only continent so far to experience LG’s latest smartphone as promised. Although there are plans for launches in the US and Asia as well, a date is yet to be specified.

The 9.2mm thick device will arrive with Android 2.2 and a Gingerbread update will be available. It features a 2 x mp front-facing camera as well as a rear facing one and a 4” 700 nit NOVA display. It also promises a full days use with a 1,500Ah battery and will run LG’s Optimus UI 2.0.

More details can be found in the article by Sean Hollister over at Engadget, just click the link. Here you will also find that LG intend on releasing pink and white versions of the smart phone next month.
