We have some good news for Elite Dangerous players on PS4, as there is a new update to install with developers Frontier Developments now taking Elite Dangerous to version 1.13.
This is the Elite Dangerous 2.4.09 patch on all platforms, but 1.13 specifically for PS4 users and we can see many players asking what the new update does.
Calling all Commanders. We'll have a short server downtime on all platforms from 11:45 AM GMT today for the 2.4.09 update release, which we expect to last roughly 15 minutes. Thank you for your patience! https://t.co/pQWnhyJ9AT

Unfortunately though, it looks like there is a bit of a mystery surrounding the actual changes in the update, as the developers have only left the following information with regards to Elite Dangerous 1.13 patch notes on PS4:
The bug fixes highlighted in the brief notes are not mentioned specifically and players have been wondering which bugs have been fixed and which bugs still remain in the game.
Still, it’s good to see that the game is getting regular support so let us know your thoughts on this update and if you have figured out any changes yourself after installing the update.
