Elio Motors June update, car release date still unknown

Since the rumors started to spread that the planned car – well legally a motorcycle – from Elio Motors was nothing more than a scam, we have not been treated to much information to the contrary to prove otherwise. We are not saying for one moment that this is a scam in anyway, we would just have liked to have seen more progress.

People may be wondering what updates there have been of late, and the latest June update from Elio Motors in terms of the car, well three-wheeler vehicle is that the Elio Momentum v58 is all prepped and finally ready for E-Series assembly.

They inform us that things are truly hotting up and that the Pilot Operations Center of Elio Motors is full of activity when it comes to building this much-antcipated vehicle. There has already been a shipment of body panels, and the engine and transmission are coming along nicely.

Elio Motors production edges closer

However, it does seem to be all about those body panels because they are all ready for paint as they are coming in all primed and prepped, seeing as though Elio have their very own paint shop. Full details of this process can be found on the official website.

Elio Motors have also partnered with Onion, Inc. this month for a media campaign that will be driven digitally. However, we are told that the campaign is to do more with the company’s stance on the presidential election.

Well, after watching this commercial we have to say that it’s cheaply made and very basic, and so not very good for a company that is hoping to make a success out of its very first car – oops we mean motorcycle, ok, a three-wheeler.

As of today, there is still no Elio car release date.
