Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Xbox 360 gameplay video, combat & enemies

For those of you who are dying to see some real-life action footage from one of the most eagerly anticipated games of the year so far, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, here is your chance in its raw state featuring some of the enemies you’ll be facing and plenty of combat scenes.

This video is the first of its kind, in that all prior video releases of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim have featured either developer commentaries or an epic soundtrack over it so we couldn’t get a feel for the games in-game audio.

The video is not official, so could be taken down at anytime. Originally, we had an impressive HD quality video that showed off the game’s amazing visuals for Xbox 360, but due to a copyright claim by ZeniMax Media Inc, has been removed by YouTube.

The video we found, although only in 360p, still gets mouths watering though. It starts off by showing some of the beautiful lanscapes we can expect to see in Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, while then going on to show us some character interaction, and much of the enemies that we can expect to encounter, which also features a man epically fail at trying to battle a dragon. We also get a taste of some of the magic spells used, and weapons available to us while we quest for glory.

However impressive the game looks, it is quite obvious that this is not yet the fully finished version. Evidence of this is some of the way the physics operate. In one scene, we see a giant falling from the sky, but instead of getting real-life “rag doll” type mechanics, it just doesn’t look quite right.

It is pretty obvious from this short showcase of the game that it is going to be a huge game full of promise and epic battles, although some are criticising it down to certain flaws they can see. Chris Priestman sums it up quite nicely by saying “Hey, I am pumped as hell for this game, which is why I criticize so that the devs know the flaws and can improve them. If no one says anything and merely chants “yes master”, then we are going to get nowhere. Right?

If you want to see what all the fuss is about, check out the video by scrolling to the end of this article, or by clicking this link to go straight to YouTube.

Are you looking forward to Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim? What do you make of the video, impressed?
