Early Beats 1 access with iOS 8.4 and 9.0 beta

While Beats 1 is not yet live, users with iOS 8.4 and 9.0 beta can actually get access to the new service. However, there is a catch, because the station is not playing live content, just a pre-recorded message from DJ Zane Lowe highlighting the fact that the channel will be up and running soon.

This is the first iOS users have been able to see the channel, even if it is just a message. However, it’s great to see the logo finally appear for those with beta versions of iOS 8.4 and 9.0.

Early Beats 1 access

Not certain how long it will be before people begin to tire of hearing Zane Lowe’s voice on a loop, and we have to wonder if Apple will add a newer message over the coming days?

Beat 1 will be part of Apple Music and is to cost $9.99 per month in the US and £9.99 in the UK for an individual monthly membership.
