E3 2011: Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii Price Cuts coming?

It has been a while since we last reported on predictions from gaming analyst Michael Pachter, but his latest one definitely warrants a mention. He believes that Microsoft will announce a price cut to their Xbox 360 console at the upcoming E3 2011 expo.

Not only Microsoft though, as he also believes that both Nintendo and Sony will offer price cuts too on their respective consoles by the time the November 2011 holiday period occurs, as reported from Joystiq.

Pachter believes that Microsoft’s price cut will come first at E3, in which we’ll see the console drop to under $399, with a possible $50 price reduction as the current price for the 4GB Xbox 360 console with Kinect included stands at $399. $250 would be pretty appealing if it did happen.

Following E3, Pachter expects to see similar $50 price cuts for the PS3 and Nintendo Wii consoles – of course, whether this becomes a reality remains to be seen though, Patcher isn’t exactly Jesus Christ when it comes to making bold predictions.

What are your thoughts on the possible price cuts? Do you think they will happen or is it too soon? We wrote a report earlier on the possibility of the Xbox 720 getting announced at E3, so that’s also worth considering.
