Duke Nukem Forever tops UK games chart despite poor reviews

The long-awaited (14 years to be precise) Duke Nukem Forever game finally made its way into stores across the world last week and although it was possibly one of the most-anticipated games of this year, the title was unfortunately met with a rather disappointing reception.

However, as Ben Parfitt from mcvuk.com reports, despite its poor reviews, the Duke Nukem Forever game has managed to top the UK All-Formats Games Chart. This of course means that the hugely popular L.A. Noire game has been knocked off the top spot after holding the position for 3 weeks.

Meanwhile, Sucker Punch Productions’ PlayStation 3 exclusive InFamous 2 debuted at number 4 in the charts, and THQ’s Red Faction: Armageddon claimed 8th position in its very first week of release. 505 Games’ Zumba Fitness showed just how popular it still is by climbing from fourth place to third.

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean took fifth position in the charts, while Codemasters’ Dirt 3 took 6th place and Splash Damages’ Brink took seventh position. Call of Duty: Black Ops is still hanging on in there in the top 10 at ninth position, while the first-person puzzle platformer Portal 2 finished off the top 10.

Are you surprised to see Duke Nukem Forever at the top of the UK Games Chart?
