Drop Zone returning to MW3 & changes to Infected mode

Yesterday we told you how Drop Zone was removed from Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer playlists in exchange for Infected and how this had upset lots of MW3 gamers. Today we have some great news for you and some information in regards to changes which are in there way to Infected.

Infinity Ward’s community manager, Robert Bowling (aka FourZeroTwo), has once again been on the case and sorted things, a recent tweet has been added below, as you can see both Drop Zone and Infected will be available to play tonight (on all platforms)!

Due to the thousands of tweets I received over the weekend; Drop Zone is returning to #MW3 Community Playlists alongside Infected tonight!

No times have been given, therefore you will just have to check every now and then for it to show up, if you’re annoyed by the Infected game mode (like me) we can reveal that there are some interesting changes coming our way. My biggest gripe with Infected mode is that the Infected don’t stand a chance when survivors find high spots to camp on – usually they can pick you off 1 by 1 as there’s no way of getting to them without being easily killed – in my opinion the Infected need throwing knives!

Twitter’s 140 character limit means that Bowling hasn’t divulged full details in regards to changes which are incoming, but as you can see by the tweet below more class loadouts are coming to Infected mode at the same time as when Drop Zone arrives.

Adding new class load outs to Infected again tonight when Drop Zone is uploaded. 3 Throwing Class modes and 3 Tactical Knife modes. #MW3

Hopefully this will be the end of the MW3 Drop Zone / Infected mode saga and we might even see more modes added, when we hear anything of importance we will let you know. Are you happy with the changes which have been made to Infected? If not, what would you like to see changed?
