Droid X: Leaked Android 2.2 Froyo Update – Warning From Motorola

Do you remember the Android 2.2 Froyo update that was leaked for the Motorola Droid X recently? Well, it turns out Motorola are not too happy about it, and have warned users who attempt to update.

As reported from BGR, Motorola has posted a pretty frank message on their official forums, specifically focusing on the leaked Froyo update for the Droid X which is currently available to download online.

Here is what Motorola had to say on the matter: ”Do NOT load the leaked 2.2 upgrade that has been floating around on the Internets. There is currently no upgrade path from that load to the official 2.2 load that will be released by early September.”

They also state that unless you know how to flash your device, you could be stuck on the leaked version permanently. Are you starting to get worried or not?

The fun will really start when Motorola’s official update does come out in September. We’ll probably start to see all kinds of flash methods that will become available.

Did you upgrade to the leaked version? If so, let us know your thoughts on this.
