Droid X: Android 2.2 Froyo Update – World’s First Custom ROM Video

Following on from our post which informed you about Motorola’s warning to users attempting to update to the leaked Android 2.2 update, we now have a video to show you, giving you a look at the world’s first Droid X Froyo Custom ROM in action.

As reported from BGR, the Droid X was rooted quite a while ago now, but any signs of a custom ROM appearing soon after were diminished, after realising that Motorola had tightened up security.

However, that still hasn’t stopped the person responsible for the ROM, as you can see from the video – good things are clearly on the way with this new Sapphire AOSP 2.2 ROM.

The video shows the boot menu, and a brief look at some settings, but you can look forward to a full reveal soon, once it becomes available to download.

Are you pleased that a custom ROM has now been achieved on the Droid X?
