Back in July last year we announced that the release date for the much-anticipated Driver: San Francisco game had unfortunately been delayed from November 2010, to sometime in the first quarter of 2011. However, it now looks like Driver fans have to wait until later this year.
According to a recent article by David Hinkle over on the joystiq.com website, Ubisoft has recently confirmed that the Driver: San Francisco game will be released in the United States on August 30th. The game will be available to purchase for the PC, Mac, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
There have also been reports that a Nintendo Wii version is in the works. The Driver: San Francisco game — which is said to be set a few months after the events of Driv3r — sees players once again taking on the role of Tanner, who finds himself with an unusual ability following an accident.
The unusual ability we are talking about is the ability to shift into the bodies of other drivers during the game. The Driver: San Francisco game not only provides gamers with a single-player mode, but it also comes with both split-screen multiplayer and online multiplayer modes.
Are you looking forward to the release of the Driver: San Francisco game?
