Dragon Age Inquisition Shard locations for Agony reward

Dragon Age Inquisition is an amazing game. We are only just beginning our adventure at the moment, but we can see why it has just won the Game of the Year award recently.

Now, we wanted to give some of you a quick heads-up as many of you are probably hunting for those Dragon Age Inquisition shards which are needed to open the Temple of Pride doors in the Forbidden Oasis region.

First of all, you are going to have to collect every single shard in the game if you want to open every single door in the temple. This is a very time consuming quest, but a fun quest nevertheless and great to do in stages rather than in one full swoop.

For those that are not patient though and want some help with this, we have found some great Dragon Age Inquisition shard location walkthrough videos, showing you exactly where to find all the different shards, in the various regions of the game.

For such a long mini-quest, you can expect to get some great rewards at the end of it too. If temptation has gotten the better of you in this regard, we’ve also added another video below showing the rewards that you can expect to get once you open up those coffin doors in the temple.

Remember that while your loot in the standard temple doors could be random, the loot for the final boss is set. For example, we can show you evidence below of a player receiving the unique Agony dagger – which comes with a 31% critical damage bonus and the chance to inflict chain lightning damage.

Also contained in the loot is Arishok’s Vitaar, a unique Vitaar for the Qunari’s with a 8% attack bonus on top and a Superb-rated belt offering electrical resistance.

Is this a worthy reward for collecting every single shard in the game? That dagger is pretty nice we have to say and it should make short work of any future dragons you come aross, particularly with the permanent resistance bonus that you also get while working your way through the temple loot.

You will find the location of every single shard here courtesy of SegmentNext’s walkthrough. We have added the shard locations for the Hinterlands below to get you started – the shard located in the middle of the area requires some climbing skills for sure!
