Dr Moku’s Hiragana Mnemonics: iOS App for Learning Japanese

Are you thinking about learning a new language such as Japanese? If you are, then we may just have some exciting news for you. Although there are traditional ways to learn a new language such as books and DVDs, there is also the possibility of learning it through a fun yet educational iOS app.

According to a recent article over at the website, Dublin-based Wukomi Media — an e-learning and media company – has just released a brand new iOS app called “Dr. Moku’s Hiragana Mnemonics,” which is compatible with the Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

The app teaches users basic Japanese, using easily remembered and humorous associations for every symbol in the Japanese Hiragana alphabet. The Dr Moku’s Hiragana Mnemonics app, which was developed by Richard Christy, features audio, 3 different quiz levels and 2 different learning modes.

As noted on the website, users can choose between the Manual mode (which allows them to learn at their own pace) and Autoplay mode (where each symbol and audio clip is played in sequence). The 3 quiz levels included are Easy, Hard and Master.
