The iPhone / iPad ‘Spirit’ jailbreak is now available for those who wish to take the plunge and give it a go. The iPhone OS jailbreak has been discussed on a number of occasions over the last few weeks, so has the final release been worth all the hype and wait?
Engadget explains that the jailbreak is untethered and will work on activated iPhones running OS versions 3.1.2, 3.1.3, and 3.2. If you are an owner of the iPad, then you can also run the jailbreak — just remember that the software is still in beta so you may have to restore the tablet if things go wrong.
There are those who would consider this worth the hassle if they can get the iPhone / iPad ‘Spirit’ jailbreak to work correctly. If you are using a tethered jailbreak now then you will need to restore your smartphone to run Sprit. More details on this can be found over on spiritjb.com
