Forza Horizon 3 server maintenance

Forza Horizon 3 is the new game in the popular series from developers Playground Games. As usual, this is a game exclusive to Xbox One and PC and we’ve set up this page for you to come and report any Forza Horizon 3 server problems on Xbox or PC to us.

Straight away, we have noticed that there has been some problems since launch with some players complaining about Forza Horizon 3 “failed to resolve server address” errors.

We’ve seen this happen ourselves, so if it does happen to you you can check Forza Horizon 3 server status here to see if maintenance is on or if it is a sudden outage in a particular region.

    Everything is overall just really slow… I have a nearly full garage so it makes sense that loading times would be a bit sluggish. But it takes up to a minute and a half to load up My Cars… that’s ridiculous. The problem is that it’s happened every since I bought the game… I’m on disc so I might be screwed

    i just want to find out why my auction house is not working in Forza Horizon 3 Ultimate Edition. I have the options to go into the Autoshow as well as the Garage however i cannot access the auction house.

    I was also supposed to get some free cars in the Ultimate edition package, however i didn’t when i bought Forza Horizon 3 Ultimate Edition 2 days ago, as well as losing over 1mil credits.

    I would like you to inform me how i can fix this and get my cars and money back.

      What game developers need to do is listen to the core base fans, give them games they want, stop releasing unfinished product for sale when it won’t work from the get go. Where else can you pay premium but get a discounted uncompleted game that needs patches & fixes even when brand new. Seems like I am loaning money interest free or at the least funding patches before completed.

    My DLC version of Forza 3 with the hot wheels addition has stopped loading and just kicks me back to the dashboard.
    I have un-installed and re-installed with the same problem, although the game was working two days ago ?
    I have also tried re- booting the Xbox one all seems to produce the same thing.
    Any ideas as to what to try next would be appreciated.

    Hello everyone
    I have a problem with graphic settings. They keep reseting every time i restart the game. I could not find any solution and i hope someone here found a solution or maybe have similar issue.
    All started when i bought this game in November 2017. I had my previous Graphic card ASUS GTX 950 Strix, on which game worked pretty bad (min 40 FPS, low preset, and alarm “Not enough graphics memory” in game), so decided to buy new graphic card which is now ASUS GTX 1070 OC (CPU is i5 6400 if someone is interested). Now game is working even on ultra in 60 FPS (with slightly stuttering to 58 FPS), despite updating nvidia drivers and everything, graphic settings keeps reseting. So again anyone have a solution? Maybe a patch to repair it?

    Im having a problem…..when ever i select a car……it just shows cars in different angles…..and i have to close the game……i cant select a car at all…..theres another problem too…….when ever i customize or buy a car…it takes at least 30 minutes to save…..3rd problem when ever i start the game and load in….it takes 20 minutes to load in…please solve this problem……im on xbox one

Where do I begin, IF I can even get the game to load, it won’t play at all or might be driving for a few minutes, more of the time though I am stuck with a loading screen…. not impressed… at all… I know the have had bad times before but since fh3 came out this is by far the worst it has been for me

    Is anyone have a crashing game problem despite having good PC.
    Since those servers problems occured I found out that game is crashing more often (especially after races or free roam)
    than before. (my specs are Intel i5 6400, ASUS GTX 1070 OC, 8GB Ram) and of course game is not saving graphic settings. I reinstalled game from Hdd to SSD (on which I have windows installed). Didnt try multiplayer but still some achievements doesn’ t work or stopped working. Only thing I am afraid is to lost all my data (hopefully that buckup will work).

        I wish i had your problem. my game dropped from lvl 900 to start. lost everything,cars and money. all gone. got to lvl 57 to get, a 1 week ban. (no idea for what) so no action house or any of the other goodies for me, and this is a new account. last one got a 20 year ban and they still will not tell me why!

    Here is a list of Server problems in my Horizon 3 Game.

    1. Frequently I can’t access the Auction House.

    2. If I am fortunate to gain access I can then experience the following

    Sometimes I can not bid on a vehicle as the details will not download.
    Sometimes when I sell a vehicle I can not collect the credits and have to have multiple
    attempts.
    Sometimes when I don’t sell the vehicle I can’t reclaim the vehicle and have to have numerous
    attempts or just leave it there for later attempts.
    Sometimes when I bid on a vehicle the view of the vehicle is displayed without any details.
    When this happens there are no game buttons on screen (no A or B) you can’t bid or get off
    the page.The only option is to shut the game down and restart.

    Sometimes the game freezes when listing a vehicle and turns itself off.

    The game can also freeze when returning to a Festival Site. When the button to enter the
    festival is pressed the vehicle starts to move then freezes and the game shuts down.

    All these issues are constantly interfering with what otherwise would be a great game.

    Servers Down XBOX GLITCH whatever……it needs attention.

    Of course there are no Rivals available or Clubs or Storefront or Designs etc when all this is at
    its worst.

    Still issues with Horizon 3 Server in my game.
    It worked well from 11am – 2pm then went bad again.
    50% chance of entering Auction House….. 50% chance of getting a message server not available.
    If I go back to my garage change cars, any car, don’t have to drive it then go back to the Auction house there is a good chance I’ll get in.
    If I do get in sometimes I can list a car for sale and other times it won’t let me.
    After the auction is over sometimes I have trouble claiming cars not sold and claiming credits for vehicles sold. It can take 3-4 tries to complete the transaction.

    Is any else having this issue?

    I don’t believe the server is down completely but access to the various parts of the auction house is compromised.

    Different sites appear to be working while other sites aren’t.

    For example perhaps I can’t get to “My Bids and this my happen just after I’ve listed a car in “My Auctions”. Then I may go to “My Auctions” to check if the car I just listed is there and correct and I won’t be able to access the site. So I go back to the garage change cars or leave the festival site and re-enter and then I will most likely get to my auctions….if not repeat processuntil you get in.

    The Horizon 3 Auction House is very painful at present…..Issues need fixing.

      I found out that sometimes I can not get access to some new liveries, because of servers.
      Today (13.12.2017) I tried to do 3 laps around Goliath and servers were good, but after finishing the race game crashed (made me super angry because I lost half hour on nothing) then when I turned the game again servers were down (no auction house and multiplayer).

      That servers issues are 2nd time I experience and before i couldn’t get Forzathon events finished.

      I wonder how long it will take them to repair all of it.

      The game Server has had some issues recently.
      Anything in the game that users the server will not work while it is down.
      It’s been faulty for a couple of days.
      It is working now in Australia at least.
      I had trouble when I first got the “Blizzard Mountain and Hot Wheels” extensions.
      They wouldn’t open for me and I kept getting a message that I had to purchase them even though I had already bought them.
      I found the solution for me was to make sure I signed into Xbox Gold before starting the game. Don’t put the Horizon 3 disc in the console until you have signed in to your player account.

    December 12 Auction House in my game is very problematic. I keep getting the Server not available at this time please try again later message. Then a few minutes later I can access the Auction House. It’s been a pain for days and I’m not sure if it is just my game or if it is widespread.

    well thats it for turn 10. my first account was placed with a twenty year ban and turn 10 will not answer emails or even talk about this on there forums. My new 100% clean account gets knocked from lvl 900 to lvl 1 legend painter with 42:000 downloads on the weekend. just got the account up to lvl 57 to find i now have a 1 week ban. Turn 10 can go F#@k it’s own servers the games Forza 2,3.5 and 6 now in the bin Merry Xmas turn 10:-(

          Did achievements ever start working for you? I’ve had this game since Friday and couldn’t unlock achievements. Randomly for about a half hour after resetting my progress, I was able to get a few achievements, and then they stopped unlocking again. It has to be from their end right?

    I can get access most of the time, however I have had the message that the server is not available at this time please try again later. Back click go to another page and it usually lets you in straight away. That has been an issue with my game for awhile. that glitch is annoying but manageable.

    Will anyone have an estimation of what time they will be down for? I think they’ve been fixing it for a little bit before the servers were shut down but they will have to then change the servers to the new files with the fixes. Forza must have alot of servers around the world to update… I personally think it’ll be back on possibly tommorow GMT or Monday.. I hope it soon though. Happy Racing!

    Some clubs have been boosting stupid amounts of XP every week from ItMe, PWN, Waki and pp. They are doing a complete shut down to find the gamer tags and reset profiles. It’s gonna take some time before it’s back up.

      You wil need to drive around in circles so after it spawns you can race, or if he got somehow stuck you will need to push him on to the road again

    My radio keeps bugging out. If I use Groove, which has my playlist, it will give a “Playback Error” or simply jump and skip songs in mid song. It’ll even do it with the regular radio, sometimes basically skipping to the next song in the middle of a skill song. It also won’t load certain parts of the game dependent on servers (club, tunes, etc.)

    Same problems in central europe (Austria) – Server very unstable since 1-2 weeks. To get Hoonigan took me half a day. Can’t join any online games while playing coop with friends works without any problems (so it’s obviously not an individual network problem) – even checking high scores doesn’t work (or better only every 10th try) – always get message “server problem – try later”. Never has experienced such long lasting problems (over almost 2 weeks now) since the very first day of FH3 🙁 It’s a pity that there’s no “official” statement by microsoft and/or Turn 10

    Forza Horizon 3 PC server issues here in massachusetts 11:48am, i was inside the auction house and i was putting up a car for action. After i confirmed the auction of my vehicle i got a “can’t verify your account or profile to the Forza Horizon 3 Server” or something like that so i went back to my garage to see if my car was still there and my car was gone, it never got put on the auction and it got erased from my garage. i restarted the game, my network and my pc and the vehicle is gone. Also not i have no access to designs, auction store, market, clubs ect… i was able to join a free-rome online but it kept saying sync.

        Regardless of not enough anything, they’ve made millions on this game. I’ve never paid £70 for a game + addons before and i regret paying out that much now, the whole online side of things has been really un-reliable! They should invest in enough hardware, bandwidth and staff. There are no excuses. Their infrastructure clearly isn’t up to it and they’ve probably cut costs and corners to maximise profits which just p1ss customers off!

    Can’t connect to Forza Horizon 3. Everytime the game loads up and I press the A button to continue it kicks me to the Xbox home screen and when it does load up in about 2 min it does the same thing. Called Xbox support, went through all my settings and everything is good there. Uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, still same problem. Have a friend and it’s doing the same thing to him. Are the servers down? Been doing this since Friday evening.

      Yes. Facing the same thing. Can’t seem to get any answers from anyone. Been down since Friday evening. Been trying to find a Official answer on the internet and nothing. Called Xbox Live and they can’t find anything either. They have been getting alot of calls on this issue. Went through all my Xbox settings and everything is good on my end. Frustrating.

    Forza on Twitter tweeting exciting events and paycontent nearly once per hour, but not one single info for post-payment-customers.

    It just reflects the approach to the post-sale customer, who is obviously rated by them as high as passengers by united.

    Always again bizarre, this companies so keen to get you into their push-marketing channels, flooding you with exciting (sale-relevant-) breaking news but not even considering to let you know, when they fail to keep their product working.

    Can’t imagine much more convincing performance in order to make you NOT to buy their products.

    For everyone complaining about Forzathon! All the achievements and rewards can be still acquired WITHOUT all the online features etc. So long as your achievement activates and you have internet access, you will receive the rewards! I do hope they compensate us with something though for this annoying inconvenience of restricted online play..

    Server down for me too. I have been able to complete forzathon events though. If you want the Porsche just do 5 bucket list events and you should still get it.

    Seems to be online but unable to access MOST online features. Clubs, auctions, shared blueprints, tunes, even Forzathon…. I was able to join an online freeroam though. This is getting really aggravating. I was hoping to capitalize on the 30% off and grab some rare cars I’m missing. I spent hours troubleshooting this…. SMH….

    Same here on Xbox, might be related to current Forzathon, there is an issue with the 30% promotional sale. When I loaded the game at 10.am (Nevada) the autoshow showed the 30% sale but could not purchased due to Sever Error. I collected a bid from auction house successfully then rebooted everything, now no access to clubs, rivals, AH, and marketplace.
