There are times when Apple run into problems and suddenly the App Store is down and not working in your area. This can happen during iOS software launches or occasionally when there is an iCloud outage occurring.
Apple provide their own App Store service status checker here, which gives a handy status alert for the App Store and also all other Apple services too such as Apple Pay, Apple Music, FaceTime and iMessage.
You can use this page though to get live status alerts in our comments section, as PR readers usually report issues here the minute an outage has just happened.
