Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat 2015 eclipses Mercedes S65 AMG

Whenever you think of cars that can hit 200 mph you expect them to be models that cost the earth and are not practical for everyday use. However, there are a handful of cars that can achieve this while you can also carry a few passengers thanks to having rear seats, and the new Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is one example.

When we say a fine example, we mean the best example because the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat 2015 model is considered to be the fastest sedan in the world, as its performance figures eclipses the Mercedes S65 AMG.

Some car manufacturers come up with huge claims and are unable to back them up, but Dodge is different because all the numbers seem to add up when you compare performance figures against the likes of the S65 AMG, Bentley Flying Spur, Porsche Panamera Turbo S, BMW M5/M6 Gran Coupe, Audi RS7 Aston Martin Rapide S and the Jaguar XFR-S and XJR models.

Autoblog has been looking closely at the figures of each of these models and it is clear to see that the all-new SRT Hellcat is the clear winner thanks to its 6.2-liter V8 pushing out 707 horsepower, which helps it get to a ¼ mile in just 10.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 204 miles per hour.

The S65 AMG has a V12 engine that produces 621 horsepower, although it does have more pound-feet of torque than the Hellcat, but then again Dodge only want $60,990 compared to $222,925 from Mercedes.

Before you start to think we have started to lose our mind by favoring the SRT Hellcat, we know that it is no match for many of the cars mentioned above when it comes to the bendy stuff. Dodge is great at producing cars that are awesome on a straight line, but they suffer when you put them on a track because they are unable to match the S65 AMG in terms of handling.
