Dodge Caliber Pedal Problems: 2007 Model

When I initially saw the words “pedal” and “problems” in an article’s title I automatically thought Toyota, however we are hearing that one of Chrysler’s SUVs is apparently experiencing a gas pedal-related problem, similar to the problem which Toyota recently experienced.

The affected model is reported to be the 2007 Dodge Caliber, currently the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating the problem, following consumer complaints.

Chrysler are claiming that they have received just five reports of the problems, none of which have caused accidents or injuries, they also went on to say that if there turns out to be an issue it will be limited to 10,000 vehicles, all of which were manufactured in March/April 2006.

The issue itself is said to be mechanical, drivers affected say that the “pedals became stuck and did not return to the idle position”, Chrysler’s spokesman Nick Cappa was quick to state that the pedal is a different design to the recently recalled Toyota gas pedal.

As we hear more regarding the issue we will keep you up-to-date, for more details check out the source article below.
