Do Samsung already know iPhone 5 details?

We have reported before about the ongoing legal dispute between Apple and Samsung, which has led to Apple successfully getting some of Samsung’s products temporally banned amongst accusations of copying. Now in a new twist we have news that Samsung are looking to ban the iPhone 5 after release of the device, so do Samsung already know the iPhone 5 details?

According to an article on AppleInsider the Korean electronics company will immediately make a move to block the yet to be released device as soon as it hits Korea. An anonymous senior executive at the company stated “Just after the arrival of the iPhone 5 here, Samsung plans to take Apple to court here for its violation of Samsung’s wireless technology related patents”.

He went on to say that as long as Apple uses its mobile telecommunication functions it won’t be possible to sell its iDevices “without our patents”, and said that Samsung would be sticking to its tough stance against the iPhone maker. Another unnamed executive said the company was looking at a number of different legal strategies to use against Apple.

It feels if they win the ongoing case in Germany it will strengthen Samsung’s position against Apple’s products including the iPhone 5. Back in June a judge in the US refused Samsung’s request to see the next version of the iPhone. This followed Apple’s request to see yet to be released products from Samsung.

Samsung are claiming that Apple will be putting NFC technology into the iPhone 5, but so far this is not known for sure even though recent rumors have claimed it will be coming soon. Currently there are around 23 lawsuits ongoing between the two companies in various countries. It makes you wonder though how Samsung feels it will have a case with a product that hasn’t even been revealed yet.

Do you think Samsung know something about the iPhone already?
