Disruptive OS X 10.10.3 release during general availability

It truly looks as though the public release of OS X 10.10.3 will soon be upon us, as a new beta release has been made available for download, and with it brings increased compatibility, security and stability. However, before you get too excited that we are closing in on its public release, there are one or two concerns that need to be pointed out.

Before we get into that, we would just like to point out that looking over the release notes for this latest build its all about making a few tweaks here and there, which does make us wonder if its release date is just around the corner? We say this because there was already an update just a week ago.

Cause for concern upon its release — There are fears that during general availability of the OS X 10.10.3 public release it could be disruptive because of the new Photos app.

Ok, so we know that the Photos app has been getting better with each build of the beta releases, but unless you have a high broadband speed, then it could take people a long time to upload their photo collection.

Some people have been known to have around 26,000 photos, which converts to around 60GB of storage, now try uploading that amount with a slow broadband speed and see how long that takes you.

Many of you do have good speeds, but if you only have around 5 or 6Mbps, then you are in for a long wait while uploading. If this is the case, then we expect Apple will be inundated with complaints because of choosing to make this change.
