Disney Movies Anywhere for iOS

Disney Movies Anywhere is a new app for iOS which enables users to seamlessly watch all of their favorite Disney, Pixar and Marvel movies in one place. The cloud based app works with your iTunes account and early users can download a free copy of Disney Pixar’s ‘The Incredibles’ movie.

Users first need to create a Disney account upon first launching the app, once they are logged in they will need to link their iTunes account to sync eligible Disney and Marvel movies. Agreeing will launch the iTunes Store with a “Connect Accounts” request that users must agree to by entering their iTunes password. Once this has completed you are free to begin.

Using Disney Movies Anywhere is simple, you can purchase the titles you want from the regularly updated store and download them to your account. In addition to this you can redeem your free digital copy of films using a coupon code provided with selected DVD and Blu Ray purchases. TNW reports that exclusive content will also be made available to download for free.


At the time of writing there is over 400 movies in Dinsey’s store, with upcoming releases like Frozen on the way.You can access Disney Movies Anywhere on your iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Mac, PC and Apple TV set top box. It is understood that you can stream content from the app on your devices to your big screen in HD using Apple TV’s airplay feature.

Each time you download a movie you get reward points with every transaction, which you can put towards new content. At the moment this app is iOS exclusive, with Android and Windows Phone users being left in the dark over a potential offering.
