There are many strange, weird and stupid laws all over the world. Some are so bizarre that you may wonder if they are real laws. With many of these laws, going back centuries we thought it would be a good idea to share some informative apps on the strange laws from around the world. Many laws seem like common sense but obviously, it is not that common. Did you know that in London, it is illegal for a City cab to carry rabid dogs or corpses? In Afghanistan, the Taliban banned women from wearing white socks, for fear men might find them attractive. In Lebanon, men are allowed to engage in sexual intercourse with female animals. If caught with a male animal the punishment is death. The punishment in Indonesia for masturbation is death by decapitation and in Denmark; it is not against the law to escape from prison. Some are just too absurd to mention. Even different states in America have strange varied laws.

Apparently, in Switzerland, you are not allowed to flush the toilet when living in an apartment after 10 pm and the Koreans cannot eat stray cats. Weird Laws by Inner Four, Inc. is a free application that will let you obtain some of the strangest laws you have ever heard. Available at the App Store this app has some amazing facts like in Hawaii it is illegal to own a mongoose without a permit or in West Virginia it is illegal to snooze on a train. With so many crazy laws, you will be able to access a traveler’s guide that could keep you out of trouble and another part that is assigned to unintentional comedy.

Strangest Laws by Amy Faulkner is available through the iTune App Store for $0.99. With some of the funniest and strangest law in the country, you will gain access to nearly 1,000 total laws for each of the United States, and including International laws. Use email to send a law to a friend or family member and save your favorites to one list with this easy to use app.

Crazy Laws (World) by TIITF Software, LLC is $1.99 at the App Store. Discover strange laws from around the world, some of which carry over from early civilization. Find out about the strangest laws from the dumb, weird, stupid and absurd, this app will let you choose or view laws specifically for certain countries or you can have a random law from several hundred of the strangest laws that have ever been on the books.

Find out whether you are breaking the law and without knowing with this easy to use app. Select a state and shake your iPhone or iPod touch to see that states weird laws. Get useful information that could help you with certain locations when traveling. Learn what state is it against the law to “frown” at a police officer, where will you be thrown in to jail for singing while wearing a bathing suit or not to let a dandelion grow within city limits in Pueblo Colorado.

Using these apps, you can spark up conversations, settle bets, have fun and find out how to stay out of jail for some of the most ridiculous laws invented. Here are few more laws we found amusing.

In Oklahoma, you can be arrested for making ugly faces at a dog.
In California, it is illegal for a vehicle without a driver to exceed 60 miles per hour. (Really)
In South Carolina, it is legal to beat your wife on the court house steps on Sundays.
In New York, the penalty for jumping off a building is Death.
In Florida, it is illegal to fart in a public place after 6 P.M. on Thursdays.
In Samoa, it is a crime to forget your own wife’s birthday. (“not just Samoa“)
In England, it is illegal to die in the Houses of Parliament.
In Italy, anyone considered “obese” is forbidden from wearing polyester.
