We have some rather interesting news now for those of you that are eagerly waiting for the much-anticipated Dirt 3 rallying game to be released, as Codemasters has just unveiled a few details on the three mini-games that are found within the new multiplayer ‘Party Mode.’
The first is Invasion, which according to Quintin Smith at rockpapershotgun.com sees both players and their friends battling against a robot invasion. However, the robots are only cardboard cutouts, which players have to run through while avoiding cardboard cutouts of buildings.
Next up is Transporter, which is basically Dirt 3’s version of Capture the Flag, except the spawn locations of the flags will be randomized. Although there’s no mention of how the flag will be transferred from car to car, we presume that it will be done by tapping into the flag holder’s vehicle.
The final mini-game is called Outbreak, which sees one of the cars become an infected vehicle. The infected car — which glows bright green — can then infect other cars by crashing into them. The final vehicle that remains uninfected is the one that’s crowned the winner.
