Fans of the old school Dino Crisis franchise may have a small reason to be excited as there is a chance the game could be plotting a roaring return. There is talk that Capcom are planning to reboot the franchise, bringing what would be Dino Crisis 4 to the next gen platforms.
This rumor has originated from NeoGAF, where it has been claimed that the next edition of the Official Xbox Magazine is preparing to reveal that Capcom are reviving Dino Crisis. This big announcement would reportedly be made later this year, sadly this may be a rumor to take with a pinch of salt and not get your hopes up on. We await more solid evidence before dusting off the PS One to practice.
A potential Dino Crisis 4 game on the Xbox One and PS4 would be an extremely exciting prospects, especially for players of the original games. Modern graphics would really take the game to the next level, there is a lot of potential here if Capcom are planning on rebooting it. We have come a long way since the pixel inducing days of the PS1, this would be hugely popular with fans if true.
Should lead character Regina from Dino Crisis 1 and 2 return as the heroine, or should a whole new story be started instead? The red headed dino slayer did not feature in the 3rd game on the original Xbox, the less said about that one the better. Capcom has not had a problem with bringing back IPs in the past, why should they stop now?
Would you want to see Dino Crisis rebooted and return for a 4th outing, or just the classic franchise be left alone?
