Dimplex Portable Fan Heater model recall from Argos

If you purchased a Dimplex portable fan heater from Argos, then you will need to check to see if it is included in a new recall. The model in question is the Dimplex Essentials DEUF2 and has a possibly issue that could lead to an electric shock.

You are asked to stop using the model that has the brand TOWELL embossed on the plug and to switch it of at the mains. You will also need to allow time for the plug to cool down before you attempt to remove it from the wall socket.

Models that were purchased between 5 November 2014 and 31 December 2014 are at risk and were exclusive to Argos. If you bought one of these heaters before or after those dates, then you should be fine, well that is according to the Trading Standards website.

If you do have one of these faulty heaters you are asked to contact 0800 022 44 99 urgently, so that a replacement heater can be arranged.

Please remember, STOP USING THE DIMPLEX ESSENTIALS DEUF2 IMMEDIATELY.
