Another round of FIFA 15 ratings is live and once again there is a talking point about some of the players ratings compared to FIFA 14. In particular, there is a debate on whether Diego Costa deserves a higher rating than 85 and if EA was right to downgrade Cavani who now has a lower rating on FIFA 15 than he did in FIFA 14.
Firstly, you should be aware that Diego Costa was rated an 83 on FIFA 14 when the game shipped so already that’s a +2 from EA which is already pretty generous since EA do not give upgrades too often.
Cavani on the other hand was an 87 in FIFA 14. EA feels though that his performances have resulted in them giving out a lower 86 rating on FIFA 15. The biggest talking point on this upgrade is that Cavani has had a massive Pace downgrade – from 83 right down to 79.
Why did fifa decrease Cavani's pace omg😡 79?!

By EA’s logic, Diego Costa will now be a considerably faster player than Cavani in FIFA 15, with a Pace stat of 82 compared to 79. Some fans don’t agree with this though and are already calling EA out on Twitter by asking them to have another re-think on the final ratings.
Cavani now downgraded to 86, but now with only 79 pace?! WTF #FIFA15

EA’s word is final though and just as we predicted these ratings have offered another surprise for FIFA players. We have picked out the new FIFA 15 ratings for both Costa and Cavani both side by side.
Take a look at them and let us know what you think of the final outcome. Are you surprised that Cavani has been downgraded and his Pace lowered significantly? Should Costa have a higher rating than 85 due to his last season for Atletico Madrid?
