We mentioned this morning that Proctor and Gamble claims that the rumors of its Pampers Dry Max Cruiser diapers were causing chemical burns and rashes’ were untrue. However, this has not stopped the Consumer Product Safety Commission in the U.S. and Health Canada launching an investigation.
It has been reported that Health Canada received two complaints over this issue and that an investigation is now ongoing. According to CTV News, a number of parents are unhappy with the Dry Max Cruiser diapers, so much so that they have now set up a Facebook group called ‘Pampers bring back the OLD Cruisers/Swaddlers.’
There must be some unhappy parents as there are now 4,000 members, and that number is increasing. According to a few of the members they state that their babies have suffered blisters, yeast infection and rashes, which looks to be the result of chemical burns.
Proctor and Gamble issued a statement saying that there is no evidence of this issue, and maintain that the product went though thorough testing before they were released in 2009. For more details visit CTV News
