Diablo III Beta to Start in Q3, Possible Release Date in 2011

It has been a while since we have posted details regarding Diablo III, today we have some great information to share with you regarding the Diablo 3 beta and when it will arrive.

According to a recent article posted on GameInformer it looks like the game is making good progress, apparently company-wide testing started last week, if everything goes smoothly external beta testing will begin in Q3 2011 (between July and September).

In terms of the game’s official release date Blizzard are not making any promises, obviously the beta testing is key and if things don’t go as smoothly as planned you can rule out a 2011 release, however the development team is working as hard as they can to launch Diablo III this year.

A statement from Blizzard chief Mike Morhamie read: “As always, we will not compromise the quality of the game in order to hit a window”, the game was first announced back in 2008 so you would have thought that developers have had plenty of time to make the game great, let’s hope so!

As and when we hear more information regarding the game’s beta and its official release date we will keep you posted, will you be playing the beta version to help Blizzard’s test Diablo III?
