We have some good news for Diablo 3 players now, as it looks like Blizzard are ready to go live with another sizeable update. Patch 1.0.7 is almost due for release and to prepare players for the update, Blizzard has detailed an extensive list of changes referencing new features and of course the collection of bug fixes that each update brings.
The update isn’t ready quite yet though, but will be going live on the Diablo 3 Public Test Realm (PTR) very soon according to the Diablo 3 official website. Amongst the list of changes coming, the 1.0.7 will introduce Dueling to the game that will allow players to take on other different players in a variety of game areas in the free-for-all battle format.
There’s also going to be some main improvements to two of the game’s classes, in this case the Monk and the Wizard classes. Wizards will now get a damage buff to certain skills, while Blizzard adds that Monks will see a ‘big damage buff’ to all Spirit Spenders in the game.
Don’t forget that to test all of the new features out before everyone else, you’ll need a PTR account which you can get by heading to the Diablo 3 landing page within the Battle.net account management area. Bear in mind though that any progress you do make on patch 1.0.7 when it’s released in the PTR, will not transfer back to the main live servers for the game.
You can read the full patch notes here to get a detailed insight into what is coming with the next update. Let us know if you’re still a regular Diablo 3 player and what features you would like to see rolled out in 2013 to keep you from moving away to a new game.
