Destiny Xur location in Tower or Reef for May 22

The upcoming Destiny Xur location on May 22 is going to have an extra element of spice added to it this week, as it’s the first Xur appearance since the launch of the House of Wolves DLC expansion.

As a result, we can see that a lot of players are wondering if Xur will show up in the Tower on Friday, or if Xur will be at the Reef on May 22.

Unfortunately, Bungie has not categorically answered the question so we will just have to wait and see until Friday. There’s some speculation that Xur could show up at either the Reef or the Tower – i.e, it could be randomized now that the House of Wolves is live.

If that’s the case, then the information you need to know is that those who don’t have the House of Wolves will still be able to travel to the Reef to find out what Xur is selling on May 22.

Bungie won’t just lock out players who don’t have the DLC as that wouldn’t be cool or smart. With that said, we do hope Xur does appear in the Reef this Friday as it would make things very exciting indeed with players searching for a Xur in brand new location compared him spawning inside the tower each week.

Remember that the Xur arrival times for May 22 will be 10am UK time, 2am Pacific Time and 5am for those on Eastern Time. Let us know your thoughts on the first Xur appearance after House of Wolves and what you are hoping to see sold.

Also don’t forget that on May 22, Xur will now exchange Strange Coins for Mote of Light, as confirmed by Bungie in the patch notes.

Do you think Xur will be at the Reef this week or not?

Update: Xur is live and as we predicted he is in the Reef! Find his location using the image below. Unfortunately, Xur’s items on May 22 are not anything special.

Main Exotic: The Last Word Hand Cannon
Starfire Protocols
No BackUp Plans
Radiant Dance Machines

Give us your thoughts on Xur’s inventory for May 22 – remember those without House of Wolves can still enter the Reef!
