Destiny Peter Dinklage voice needs praise, not criticism

Those of you who have been lucky enough to play the Destiny Alpha may have discovered one amazing fact. Bungie has enlisted the services of none other than Peter Dinklage, the star of Game of Thrones and Bolivar Trask in X-Men Days of Future Past.

Dinklage plays the voice of Ghost in the game, an AI companion robot that helps the player on his travels by gaining access to areas previous inaccessible.

However, you may be surprised to hear that there has been some early complaints of the delivery of Dinklage’s voice in the Destiny alpha. Some have called it too ‘wooden’ and that it doesn’t flow as smoothly as it should at particular moments in the game.

Being an Alpha though, Bungie has come back quickly on the defensive in saying that Peter Dinklage’s voice in the game has already been updated. The developer has confirmed that you will see a new build of Ghost’s voice in the beta later in July and another updated version in time for the final launch this September.

We actually didn’t think the voice was too bad, but gamers can be harsh critics sometimes. We think it is just great having a mainstream actor who is very relevant right now, in such a big game that is on the way this year – shouldn’t this be the main highlight here?

Check out Dinklage’s voice below and let us know if you think it is as bad as everyone is saying. Did you expect it to be on the same level as Game of Thrones?
