Destiny Eververse Trading Company for Emotes

We have some important news to drop for Destiny players now, as Bungie has just confirmed that with Year Two, the arrival of micro-transactions in Destiny will finally be upon us.

Some had been surprised that it hadn’t come sooner, but now we can see that it will be going live on Tuesday October 13 and will be called the Eververse Trading Company.

On this date, Tess Everis will be selling 18 new emotes which are completely optional and will not affect progress in missions or Crucible battles in any way.

More importanlty, these new emotes in Destiny are only available with new currency silver and you’ll have to spend real money if you want to gain a supply of silver to use.

Bungie will be giving out some free silver in Destiny, to allow players to sample the new Emote system – but after that, you’ll have to pay if you are interested in having more.

Naturally, some Destiny players are skeptical about this addition but Bungie has made it very clear on their website that this is going to be a completely optional thing.

What is also interesting is that it looks like Bungie needs micro-transactions in the game to help to fund future updates from their live team.

Let us know your thoughts on micro transactions in Destiny and whether you are ok to pay for some of the new emotes.
